The Seven of Ska

Defenders of tradition, protectors of groove, and rocksteady in our quest for the ultimate musical party, The Seven of Ska continue the tradition of combining ska with other influences like soul and jazz to give a new, exciting sound using a classic lineup.

Inspired by Jamaican acts such as The Skatalites, and Bob Marley and The Wailers our music draws influences from soul, rock & roll,
roots reggae, a touch of jazz, Latin and funk all held together with the grooves of ska. We have a lineup of vocals, four horns (trumpet, trombone, tenor & baritone sax) and a rhythm section of guitar, bass and drums.  Our live shows are remembered among other things for the soloing and showmanship of our experienced horn section, who bring the energy that only horns can to our mixture of originals and cool covers.

Please note, doors to the Basement open at 6:00pm, and the show starts at 7:00pm.

Get in early on the night to secure your spot, as it it first in best dressed for seating- we do not take bookings for ticketed events.

Our kitchen is also open, so stop in for a pre-show dinner.
