Dave Kemp has performed on Vibraphone with Diana Krall, was the on stage Percussionist with the Lion King Musical in Sydney and Brisbane seasons and was recently Principal Percussionist for The Whitlams and Orchestra national tour. Tonight sees him leading a group presenting newly written material along with tunes from his Qld Music Award shortlisted album “Transitions”. The band will also celebrate some great 80’s jazz funk & fusion by one of Dave’s musical heroes, vibes player Mike Maineiri (of Steps Ahead) and another jazz icon Marcus Miller featuring tunes from the Miles Davis albums Tutu and Amandla. The band comprises Clint Allen on Trumpet, Ben Shannon on Drums & Jeremy O’Connor on Electric Bass along with Dave on Vibraphone, Mallet Synth & Percussion.
Doors open at 6.30pm. Show starts at 7.30pm.
