Get Funk’d

Come on in and get down to the sounds of Get Funk’d! Bringing you classic Funk, Groove and Heavy Soul from the 60’s to recent decades – with a heavy dose of 1970’s Funk. This band is a dance floor filling, funkalicious, soulful groove-monster of a happenin’, guaranteed to get your booty movin’.

Get Funk’d is a brand-new 6-piece outfit consisting of experienced and professional musicians. This Band fills the stage with Vocals, Keys, Guitar, Bass, Drums and Sax with members from some of Doo-Bop Basement’s favourite acts including “Soultown”, “The Lady Beetles & The Get Back Band”, “Disco Inferno”, “Slowhand Sultans”, “Gravy House” and
“The Seven of Ska”.

Get Funk’d brings a strong serving of Funk and Groove from the heavy funk of James Brown through to the funky soul of Etta James and the Commodores. The music also includes songs from Aretha Franklin, Bill Withers, Rick James, War, Kool & the Gang, David Bowie, the Isley Brothers, Stevie Wonder and the Brand New Heavies.
