Launching the brand new DVD “Matt Baker, Live at Birdland”
Australian born / New York based Jazz Pianist Matt Baker leads a powerful trio with two of Australia’s finest musicians, double bassist Andrew Shaw (QLD) and drummer Cameron Reid (NSW).
The concert on DVD was filmed “Live” at the iconic BIRDLAND Jazz Club in New York City. Matt Baker and the Trio return to Brisbane to launch the DVD, performing a program that includes some classic standards, new arrangements for the trio, and some original music from Matt, himself.
A hard swinging jazz piano trio – all presented in a program of classic jazz with an exciting contemporary edge.
Doors open at 6.30pm. Show starts at 7.30pm.
