Roberto Fontana (trumpet), Mircha Mangiacotti (rhythm guitar) and Daniele Avanzini (lead guitar), are originally from Italy. They play classic gypsy jazz compositions from Django Reinhardt and more, swinging freely between manouche, bolero, French waltz, jazz, blues and original tunes: an eclectic mix of musical influences acquired along the road.
Special guest: Dan Cosgrove
Dan cut his jazz teeth playing Norrie Paramor and Harry Gold arrangements of early New Orleans jazz standards. For the past nine years he has been one of the key frontline players in renowned gypsy jazz guitarist Ewan Mackenzie’s bands. His only goal is to play as melodically as he can and to sing “a bit like Louis”.
