Mt. Morning ‘Idle Aches’ album launch w/ Mexico City and Zac Gunthorpe 

Mt. Morning is a band of brothers pushing the boundaries of alt-country with a mix of spiky Northwest inland indie rock and mellow, Southern-tinged country rock. The music reflects the collective interests of the four members—Kristian, Ben, Glen, and Kyle—in alt-country and folk, while also exploring indie rock, psych, and jams. Their DIY approach embraces a wide range of sonic influences.

In 2023, they released their debut album Restorations, followed by their second album Idle Aches in October 2024, both through Near Enough Records. The singles Drawers and Casual Shoulder highlight the album’s blend of alt-country and indie rock, expanding upon traditional notions of biographical storytelling and songwriting.

Idle Aches promises to elevate their live performances, as the band continues to develop a unique ethos rooted in 1960s/70s sounds, combining alt-country with indie rock. Confident and potent, their sound is distinctly their own, reflecting their growth as a band.
